Wood pellets are made from compressed sawdust. When sawdust is compressed, the natural chemicals in the wood are released. These released chemicals soften and then harden during compression.

1. What is wood pellet?

Wood pellet is a type of biofuel made from natural materials, including sawdust, wood chips, rice husks, corn stalks, and so on. These are all leftover materials that will be utilized. Trees for lumber, household appliances, and other agricultural products. They are used and transformed into another process—a high-speed pressing process with a strong influence of temperature and pressure—in which natural binders bind the ingredients into wood pellets.

They are made from wood waste, so they are incredibly safe to use, minimizing the processing of plant waste and utilizing existing raw materials to achieve high efficiency.

2. Application of wood pellets:

Wood pellets have relatively high values, equaling more than one-third of the value of oil and other heavy fuels. As a result, they have several applications and benefits, not just in industry but also in everyday life.

  • In industrial sectors, it is used to replace fossil fuels in boilers and heat generation technology.
  • In thermal power plants, it is used to generate heat.
  • Lining barns and farms (chickens, horses, cows, goats, and so on…).
  • Used in heating equipment systems such as fireplaces to substitute typical fuels such as electricity, coal, oil, and firewood.
  • Used in industrial and civil combustion equipment: steaming, drying, pasteurization, sterilization in food and beverage factories,…
  • Confectionery, paper, textile dyeing, and so on.
  • Winemaking systems, cooking systems, and commercial kitchens are all available.
  • Hot water network for amusement parks, hotel restaurants, schools, rehabilitation zones, etc.
  • System of steam boilers. Ironing (laundry) in the garment industry. Weaving and dyeing fabrics are done.

3. The advantages of wood pellets:

  • Low cost, high energy consumption. In comparison to other fossil materials, it is relatively stable.
They have a relatively low cost, just approximately 30–50% of the cost of power and gas; thus, they will help us save half to two-thirds of our usage expenditures.
  • They feature a long, stable burning process that contributes to a consistent amount of heat.
  • They are extremely dense and are normally made with very little moisture. This results in an extremely efficient burn. Because of the low humidity levels, burning wood pellets saves a lot of energy.
  • Improves the longevity of boilers and combustion equipment. Less smoke is produced while using their, which helps to extend the life of stoves and boost customer advantages.

  • The smoke produced by these pellets is less dangerous than that produced by other fuels.
  • When a fire produces so little ash, we will save money on waste disposal, and it will not impact other tools.
  • Because of its tiny size, it provides convenient transportation, saves storage space, and lowers work.

Currently, wood pellets are packaged in compact bags of varying sizes, making them very convenient to use. The pellet’s wood makes it easier to store (stack) and use than any other biofuel.
